Turn your desk into a workshop With the Artisan, Snapmaker introduces industrial-grade transmission technology to desktop manufacturing: Artisan’s linear modules feature embedded steel guide rails manufactured via CNC grinding with micrometer-level precision. This results in a significant increase in precision, rigidity, and durability, enabling fast, accurate, and stable manufacturing. Compared to the Snapmaker 2.0, the Artisan has been completely upgraded in terms of print speed, precision, filament compatibility, and accessibility. High-quality 3D printing is now a breeze. Create large or multiple objects as you please on a 400 mm × 400 mm × 400 mm build plate. While the Artisan has adopted Snapmaker’s signature all-metal design, it also features an improved, larger one-piece die-cast base plate. It remains rock-solid even during high-speed CNC machining. Better visibility. Smoother workflow. More intuitive UI design. And controls that better suit ergonomics. The custom-built Snapmaker Luban software offers a clear and easy-to-understand configuration workflow for 3D printing, laser, and CNC machining. Benefit from three manufacturing methods with just one software. Thanks to the optimized transmission system and motion control algorithm, the Artisan offers dimensional accuracy of ± 0.1 mm when printing at a high speed of 180 mm/s. Artisan is equipped with a dual-extrusion 3D printing module that supports PVA, HIPS, and other dissolvable materials. Simply soak the print, and the supports dissolve, giving the model a smooth surface. Complex geometries are no longer a problem. Break-away filament provides the same support as standard materials but is much easier to remove without requiring additional post-processing. In the center of the Artisan heated bed is a 260 × 260 mm high-temperature zone (also called the inner zone) that can reach 110 °C, while the maximum temperature of the outer zone is 80 °C. While the model is in the inner zone, which heats up to 60 °C in just 2–3 minutes, the outer zone remains unheated, saving time and energy. Artisan can automatically level the print bed, calibrate the Z-offset of both extruders, and then calibrate the XY-offset using a semi-automatic program. In just three steps, you can enjoy dual-material or dual-color prints with perfect adhesion and alignment. Artisan’s new build plate is made of glass with higher flatness, ensuring a smoother and better-adhering first layer. It features glossy glass on one side and a PEI coating on the other, which supports the adhesion of various filaments. With the latest 10-W laser module, the Artisan is capable of cutting faster and deeper into more materials and creating intricate laser engravings. The 10W laser module can engrave at speeds of up to 6000 mm/min and cut through wood up to 8 mm thick in a single pass. By comparison, the cutting speed is up to eight times faster than that of the 1.6W laser module. Thanks to the laser beam splitter and beam shaping optics, the laser module delivers a high power output of 10 W and an ultra-fine laser focus (0.05 mm × 0.2 mm). This enables high-quality laser work with flawless details. Snapmaker strives to improve machine performance while streamlining the workflow so you can focus on bringing your ideas to life and nothing else. It’s powerful yet simple. From soft materials like leather and fabric to hard materials like stone and metal—anything can be your canvas. Equipped with a 200W CNC module, the Artisan further enhances CNC performance while retaining the ER11 collet, custom clamping kits, and dust-proof design that are highly praised by users. Compared to the Snapmaker 2.0, the Artisan’s CNC module performance has been increased by 300% and the maximum spindle speed by 50%, making it 6 times faster when machining hardwoods like beech. The highly rigid linear modules and high-speed spindle allow the CNC module to smoothly mill or cut various materials with a dimensional accuracy of up to 0.2 mm. You can now choose from a wider variety of materials for CNC machining as well. The 200 W CNC module is capable of precisely machining hardwood (beech, walnut), jade, and other hard materials with ease. Artisan is compatible with most Snapmaker modules and extensions, including the Rotary Module, the Air Purifier, the CAN Hub, the Snapmaker 2.0 tool heads, and future products such as the five-axis Rotary Module.
